Posters dating from the 1920’s – 1960’s,
the Golden Age of Travel.
A time before the digital era, when designers painted
or used pen and ink for their original works and print methods requires
specialised skills. Photographic imagery was incorporated with graphically
designed images. Rail-road companies, Airlines, and Government Tourist Agencies
commissioned the production of many of the posters.
The images the illustrate times and symbols of an extraordinary era of travel. Ships, Railways and Aeroplanes made it possible for
people to explore the world.
